Garden update, Early May, 2012: Noreen’s Kitchen
Greetings! the garden planting is finally done and now we play the tending and waiting game.
Squash is looking good and starting to set fruits.
Tomatoes are shooting up fast and proving that the rock phosphate is just the ticket to encourage growth!
Cucumbers are trying hard to grow, and as usual, I am having a challenge.
Broccoli, Califlower and cabbage are growing great.
Peppers, peppers and more peppers. I am the pepper queen, after all!
Transplanted some heads of romaine lettuce just to see if I could get them to grow. We shall see.
Also planted some spinach that is a slow bolting variety.
Herbs! Valerian,, Comfrey, Wormwood, Chamomile, St. Johns Wort, Chocolate Mint, Lemon Verbena, Lemon Balm, Spearmint, Cat Nip, Tarrgon, Sage, Bay, Rosemary and Burnett. Oh Boy are we on our way!
And if all that weren’t enough, my Meyer lemon tree, which needs to be repotted, has 10 count them 10 lemons coming on! I am so excited!
